It's Difficult but Possible 

Recover from events that have changed life as you knew it:

- loss of a loved one

- onset of illness 

- divorce or breakup

- loss of an important relationship, even if no one died

- physical, emotional or sexual abuse


Learn to change your perspective and: 

- stop ruminating about the past

- shift focus to what you can control

- accept what cannot be changed

- forgive without letting off the hook

Explore new behaviors and: 

- give yourself permission to live life again

- make meaning from your pain

- choose to find joy


Trauma is a fact of life.

It does not, however, have to be a life sentence.
